Classic triad of
- jejunal or ileal filling defect
- gas or barium in the biliary tree
- small bowel obstruction.
Gallstone ileus is caused by a large gallstone entering the small bowel via a fistula from the gallbladder or the common bile duct to the duodenum. Usually occurs in elderly women.
